Important before registration: the relationship between YOKKIT EventHub and the event organizer
YOKKIT EventHub provides online system tools only. The event you are registering for is independently created, operated, and charged for by the “Organizer” shown on the event page. The Platform does not collect, hold, or intermediate funds on behalf of the Organizer. Any payment you make goes directly to the Organizer’s account. If an event is cancelled, misrepresented, or subject to a refund dispute, please contact the Organizer directly. YOKKIT does not guarantee refunds and is not responsible for joint compensation or related financial losses.
Information for attendees
- Who receives your payment:Your payment is made to the Organizer named on the event page, not to YOKKIT.
- Invoices and receipts:Because YOKKIT does not receive the payment, please request any invoice or receipt directly from the Organizer.
- Refunds:If an event is cancelled, please contact the Organizer for a refund. YOKKIT has no authority to access the Organizer’s funds and cannot force the Organizer to transfer money to you.
- User interactions:You are legally responsible for what you post in comments or chat. YOKKIT may remove abusive or unlawful content and cooperate with lawful investigations.
1. Contracting Parties and Platform Role
YOKKIT EventHub (the “Platform”) provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) technology that enables Organizers to publish events, configure tickets, and connect payment services. The Platform is not the organizer, co-organizer, or joint seller of events listed on the Platform.
When an attendee completes a registration, the legal sales contract or service contract is entered into directly between the attendee and the Organizer. The Organizer bears full and sole legal responsibility for the event content, ability to perform, venue safety, and tax documentation, including invoices and receipts.
2. Payment Disclaimer
Payment integration modules provided by the Platform, such as ECPay or bank transfer, are electronic channels intended to assist Organizers in receiving payments directly. With respect to payments and funds, the Platform states as follows:
- Funds do not enter the Platform: Registration fees are transferred directly to the Organizer account specified under the applicable payment-processing arrangement. The Platform does not handle, collect, or hold such funds.
- No third-party payment guarantee: The Platform does not provide a performance or payment guarantee under third-party payment regulations. Attendees should independently assess the Organizer’s credibility before making payment.
- No liability for configuration errors: The Platform is not liable for losses caused by an Organizer’s incorrect API credentials, bank account details, or similar payment configuration errors.
3. Refund Claims
Attendees seeking a refund must follow the refund policy published by the Organizer for the relevant event and submit the request directly to the Organizer. The Organizer undertakes that its refund rules must comply with applicable requirements in Taiwan, including the Mandatory and Prohibitory Provisions of Standard Contracts for Arts and Cultural Performance Tickets where applicable.
The Platform has neither the technical authority nor the legal right to approve refunds or forcibly debit and return funds held by an Organizer. If an Organizer refuses a refund or becomes unreachable, the attendee agrees to pursue any claim directly against the Organizer through appropriate legal channels and not against the Platform.
4. Interactive Features and Content Disclaimer
Data and content generated through features such as live Q&A, chat, lottery, and reaction tools are created by attendees and Organizers. Organizers are responsible for reviewing and managing text, audio, video, and other content produced in connection with their events. If interactive content infringes another person’s reputation, copyright, or privacy rights, responsibility for any resulting liability rests with the person who posted the content and the Organizer, not the Platform.
5. Limitation of Liability
If an attendee or Organizer suffers loss as a direct result of a serious Platform system failure or gross negligence that is not otherwise covered by the disclaimers above, the parties agree that the Platform’s total aggregate liability in any year will not exceed the total service fees actually paid to the Platform by the affected party during the preceding twelve months. For a free event, the maximum liability is NT$1.
6. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and this Disclaimer are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). Any dispute arising from or relating to the Service or these Terms shall be subject to the Taiwan Taipei District Court as the court of first instance.
